University Transfer Degree Programs
Our University Transfer Degree Programs are designed for students who wish to complete the first two years of college coursework before transferring to a four-year college or university to earn a bachelor's degree.
Degree Requirements
To complete a university transfer degree, students must successfully complete 60 credit hours, including:
- 30 hours of Universal General Education Transfer Component (UGETC) courses
- 15 hours of General Education courses
- 15 hours of transferable elective courses
Course selection will vary based on a student’s intended major and the specific four-year institution to which they plan to transfer.

- Associate in Arts in Teacher Preparation (AATP)
The Associate in Arts in Teacher Preparation (AATP) prepares students for transfer to a four-year university to major in Education and pursue careers as elementary or middle school teachers.
This program is designed for students interested in teaching subjects within the social sciences and humanities.
- Associate in Science (AS)
The Associate in Science (AS) is a two-year degree focused on courses in:
- Biology
- Chemistry

It is intended for students planning to pursue STEM-related majors at a four-year institution.
- Associate in Science in Teacher Preparation (ASTP)
The Associate in Science in Teacher Preparation (ASTP) is a two-year degree designed for students who plan to major in Education at a four-year university and become elementary or middle school teachers in science and mathematics fields.
- Associate in Fine Arts (AFA)
The Associate in Fine Arts (AFA) is for students intending to complete a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) or Bachelor of Arts in Fine Arts (BAFA) at a four-year college or university.

- Associate in Engineering (AE)
The Associate in Engineering (AE) is designed for students planning to transfer and complete a bachelor’s degree in engineering at a four-year university.
The curriculum includes both engineering-focused and general education courses to support strong foundational skills in communication, math, and science.
- Associate in General Education (AGE) – Nursing
The Associate in General Education (AGE) – Nursing is intended for students beginning their academic journey toward a baccalaureate degree in Nursing. It provides a foundation for entry into Associate Degree Nursing programs and later transfer to a four-year institution.
- Associate in General Education (AGE)
The Associate in General Education (AGE) is designed for students who wish to complete a structured academic curriculum for personal or professional development, without the intention of transferring to a four-year institution.
