Our Commitment to College Access
College is expensive. We get it. With the Â鶹ӰÊÓ Promise, recent high school graduates can receive up to $1,000 each year for two years. That means less focus on cost – and more on success.
To be eligible, in-state students in Â鶹ӰÊÓ and Orange counties must enroll in at least six credit hours of credits within a year after completing a high school diploma or high school equivalency. Due to the higher cost of out-of-state tuition, out-of-state students do not have a credit hour requirement. Disbursements are made in $500 payments per semester. Students do not need to apply. the Â鶹ӰÊÓ Financial Aid office will review student records and contact those who qualify.
Eligibility
Â鶹ӰÊÓ County: Any recent high school graduate or equivalency.
Orange County: Recent graduate of Orange High School, East Chapel Hill High School, Chapel Hill High School, Cedar Ridge High School, Carrboro High School, Partnership Academy, Phoenix Academy, or recent Â鶹ӰÊÓ high school equivalency graduate.
