Through NC LIVE the Âé¶¹Ó°ÊÓ library offers Films on Demand, which is a collection of almost 30,000 award winning documentaries, interviews, instructional and vocational training videos, historical speeches and newsreels. This collection of video resources is updated regularly. September brought 164 new titles, many of which cover U.S. elections. New ebooks available from North Carolina publishers

NC LIVE, North Carolina’s statewide public and academic library consortium, has added 980 new ebooks to Home Grown, a collection of fiction and nonfiction works from North Carolina-based publishers. The new additions were purchased with the generous donations of North Carolina libraries and feature a wide variety of titles, including novels by popular North Carolina authors, poetry, young adult, short stories and nonfiction. This book was read by Meredith Lewis, the Orange County Campus (mostly) Librarian, and several Âé¶¹Ó°ÊÓ faculty & staff over the summer. Two half-sisters, Effia and Esi, are born into different villages in eighteenth-century Ghana. Effia is married off to an Englishman and lives in comfort in the palatial rooms of Cape Coast Castle.
