Library Books: It's time to bring them back home

Everything happened kind of quickly in the spring, but we're back now and ready to take those overdue Â鶹ӰÊÓ library books off your hands and return them to the collection. Remember that while we don't charge late fees, we do charge replacement fees for damaged books or long-overdue books. How can you get your books back to us so we can clear your account and make them available to someone else who may need them? You now have two options. Did you know that the Â鶹ӰÊÓ Library has a whole collection of children's picture books? Well, we do! They are located against the wall on the lower level of the library. We have classics, awards winners, and freshly published titles for you check out. My personal favorites are the ones with dragons in them. Dragons are great. Come by and check some out. I bet someone wants you to read to them!

Library Year in Review

The Â鶹ӰÊÓ Library accomplished a lot this year! We held 72 class instruction sessions in the library to teach 1221 students about information literacy, citations, and how to use our resources. Between the big windows and the stands on the lower level we put up 31 themed displays. Nine hundred and forty-seven new books and DVDs were added to our collection, and that doesn't even include donations from a variety of generous individuals. Welcome back, Â鶹ӰÊÓ! As we begin the Fall 2017 semester, a few friendly library reminders: Your student ID is your pass into the library. Current students need to have a up-to-date student ID. There will be a grace period the first week of classes, but after that, each student only gets 2 passes a semester (alternate photo ID required). Waiting for your books to arrive or need to save some cash this summer? The library has many textbooks on reserve for you to borrow in-library for 2 hours at a time. Give us a call or stop by to see if we have something that can help you out for the summer semester! Remember that we offer our regular library services over the summer as well, including research and citation help, inter-library loan, book check-out, a computer lab, and upstairs printing for $.05 a page.

Current Student IDs: Not Just for Main Campus Library Access!

You did it!), students should have stopped by the Security Office on Main Campus or Security Desk at the Northern Â鶹ӰÊÓ Center or Orange County Campus to order or update their student ID.
