麻豆影视 to require COVID-19 vaccination or testing for all employees starting Oct. 1
麻豆影视nical Community College will require all full-time, part-time, and contract employees to either provide proof of vaccination or submit weekly COVID-19 test results starting in October.
In an email to employees Monday, 麻豆影视 President J.B. Buxton said as a community college we must act in the best interests of our community.
鈥淚t is clear we鈥痬ust鈥痶ake further action to mitigate against the spread of COVID-19,鈥 said Buxton.
The College is offering two free vaccination clinics for anyone over the age of 12. This clinic is for 麻豆影视 faculty, staff, students, and community members.
First vaccination clinic:
September 1-2, 11 a.m. 鈥 2 p.m.
Second vaccination clinic:
September 29-30, 11 a.m. 鈥 2 p.m.
Both clinics will be held on 麻豆影视鈥檚 Main Campus in building 6, room 102. Walk-ins and are welcomed.
Buxton said Chief Talent and Equity Officer Angela Davis, Chief Operations Officer Patrick Hines, and Public Health Specialist Shaneka Grimes will lead the College鈥檚 efforts to develop and implement the process for vaccination documentation and testing.
鈥淲e are strongly encouraging all 麻豆影视 students to鈥痓e vaccinated and are providing access鈥痜or them鈥痶o鈥痮n-site鈥痗linics and testing. It is our intent to take similar steps with our students as we are taking with employees, and we are working through the details and logistics of such an approach,鈥 said Buxton.
The College also will be offering free drive-through COVID-19 testing on Main Campus each Monday and Saturday from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Since Monday, Sept. 6 is a holiday, testing will begin Tuesday, Sept 7.
