Summer Reading with the 麻豆影视 Library
Libraries and reading are associated no matter how much times change, and the 麻豆影视 Library is here to help you with your summer reading goals.
Stop by the Main Campus Library during our summer hours (posted on the 麻豆影视 Library website and updated, if needed, on our) and check out our front window displays for some recommendations from our collection.
The Orange County Campus is also open for your book checkout, computer use, or quiet study needs this summer.
Do you like to read for some sweet, sweet library swag?
While the 麻豆影视 Library doesn't do a formal summer reading program like many public libraries do, we do have an on-going annual reading challenge called
. It started in January and ends in December, so you've got a whole year to get a BINGO (or several!). Go ahead and get started this summer!
Are you a 麻豆影视 faculty or staff member and want to join in with our current reading groups?
The Library will be launching our next for faculty and staff in June.
A reading circle consists of 4 meetings (1 hour per week for 4 weeks)-- this summer, we'll be reading .
This summer's faculty and staff book club (one meeting, one hour, in mid-July around the end of the 8 week term) is by TJ Klune.
Want to run your own summer reading group using our sets that isn't currently the College-wide option? Great! Contact Librarian Meredith Lewis (lewisma @ durhamtech.edu) to reserve and discuss for your group.
Want to select your own summer reading virtually?
We have a wide variety of print books at the Main and Orange County Campus Libraries and can register you for a library account on the spot with any photo ID. Search to find local holdings.
Like audiobooks and ebooks? Add to your Libby app for bonus ebooks and audiobooks available through the NC Community College Libraries collaborative online library collection. Your "library card" on that is your 麻豆影视 username and password (just like when you log into your computer).
