Tools for Your Canvas Toolbox

Submitted by Alan Brown on

Moving into the heart of the Spring semester, the Instructional Technologies team would like to highlight a few tips and time-saving strategies that can be applied as you use Canvas as an instructor. Our goal is to provide tools that you can add to your Canvas toolbox as you become a more efficient, effective, and expert Canvas user.

For each tool, view the video demonstration and access the quick reference guide for additional information and links to supplementary resources.

Emojis in Module Titles

Emojis can be included in the text of module and module item titles. Purposefully sprinkling in a bit of creativity with emojis not only makes your content visually appealing but also contributes to a more engaging and well-organized learning experience.

SpeedGraderâ„¢ Options & Shortcuts

Optimize your online grading process with SpeedGraderâ„¢ by harnessing available options such as hiding student names and grading by questions, along with keyboard shortcuts.

Undelete

Have you ever deleted a piece of course content (page, quiz, assignment) and wanted to get it back? Use undelete to access and restore deleted course content.

Link Validator

Identify and easily fix broken web and image links in both published and unpublished course content using the Course Link Validator.
